On Wednesday 27 April, Wednesday 4 May, Thursday 5 May, Monday 9 May, Tuesday 10 May and Wednesday 11 May 2016 NASUWT members at Hope Wood Academy in Peterlee, Co Durham are taking escalated industrial action as a result of the Employer’s unacceptable response to the Union's national action short of strike action.
In addition on Tuesday 26 April, Wednesday 4 May, Thursday 5 May, Tuesday 10 May, Wednesday 11 May and Thursday 12 May 2016 NASUWT members at St Leonard’s Catholic School, Durham are taking strike action over the proposal to convert the school to an academy with the potential adverse impact on job security, pay and conditions of service and union recognition.
